Tifft posts Late Model Stock top-10 finishes in Tar Heel State
After starting his season with several dirt races, Mat Tifft made his first pavement starts of 2025 on Friday and Saturday in the Late Model Stock ranks with Ross Dalton Racing. He competed at a pair of North Carolina tracks and earned a best finish of third.
On Friday evening, Tifft kicked off his weekend at Ace Speedway in Altamahaw, North Carolina. He qualified his No. 50 B’laster Chevrolet seventh on the 4/10-mile oval and came home ninth in the 75-lap feature.
The next night, Tifft turned in the second-quickest qualifying time around the 3/8-mile Orange County Speedway in Rougemont, North Carolina. He finished third in the 75-lap main event, rounding out the podium behind Michael Fose and Chase Ellis. Shotgun Miller took fourth and Jessica Cann claimed the fifth spot.
