Matt Tifft is a student and race car driver from Hinckley, Ohio. He has followed racing for most of his life being a devoted race fan, especially of NASCAR.  He grew up attending many dirt late model stock car races with his father’s team, primarily in Michigan.

In fall of 2007, Matt got his first chance to race in a go kart at the Barberton Speedway in Norton, Ohio. He was helped out greatly in coming up to speed by Kevin Harter of CRP Racing. 2009 marked his first year following a divisional and national level go kart schedule with Beasley Motorsports and coach/mentor Gary Lawson. This included two national level victories. In 2010, Matt transitioned from karts to asphalt and dirt super late models with the help of Josh Richards, Dale McDowell and Clint Smith on dirt, Benny Gordon (dirt and asphalt), and Tim Schendel (asphalt).

In 2011, his first full year in stock cars, Matt compiled two super late model victories and qualified in the top ten more than three out of four times on average, half of those strong starts being from the top five. More than seventy percent of his season's finishes were in the top ten, and roughly a third of the time in the top five. Along with continuing to work with Tim Schendel and Benny Gordon, Matt raced a significant amount of races with BJ McLeod Motorsports. Highlights with BJ included a top ten points finish at the World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing (Speedweeks) and several Top 5 finishes at the New Smyrna Speedway in Florida.

In 2012, Matt will continue racing asphalt super late models and will be pursuing the Rookie of the Year title in the ASA Midwest Tour. In addition, there are approximately 20 other races planned for the year with BJ McLeod and Benny Gordon. Matt will have several tests in a NASCAR K&N Series car during the year, and hopes to enter a race sometime in the near future.
